My stupid brother is hogging every my speed on the internet by downloading movies and streaming them, and i lag while playing games. is there a way i can set him only to use a certain amount of speed like 100 kilobytes and i receive like the other 400L kilobytes. please help,

Okay. I have an older brother. He's an arrogant, stubborn, rude JERK. Maybe I'm just biased, but most of my friends agree and no one finds it easy to be around him. But there's this constant favoritism towards my brother. We receive in an argument- my parents are ALWAYS on his side. He asks for something, he gets everything. We go out to dinner, my parents only talk to him. He go grocery shopping, we buy what HE wants. We go to the movie store to pick out a movie- we receive what he feels like watching. We receive a new home, he chooses the biggest room and gets away with it. Their excuse? He's first born. I'm ALWAYS stuck cleaning up after him, too. I went school shopping yesterday with my friends for school supplies and I put the stuff in the family room by our "study/art" table. I was asked to clean it up today, which I did, and in the process, my mom asked if I could clean the relax of the room. IT WAS every OF MY BROTHERS STUFF! I asked if he would arrive down and clean it. He came down and just stood there, so I told him to clean up his crap, he got pissed and said, "If your so concerned, do it yourself, b-@*%@!" I finished what I was doing and as I was doing it, he went and told my mom what I said... He's 17 and "telling" on me!? Wow. Anyway, my mom said if I didn't do it I'd be grounded and not allowed to contact anyone (via internet, text, etc.) for two weeks. So, I did it. But I also clean the kitchen, I vacuum his room, etc. I clean up after him because it's an embarrassment when my home is a MESS because he can't take care of it himself. My mom doesn't bother with it and if I bring it up she just says that she can't do anything about it. So not only does everyone like my brother better and treat him like he's special, but I'm the maid of the home. NOT FAIR! What do I do? I NEED to receive out of here. :/ Also, if this means anything: He'll receive new phones whenever he'd like, even if his contract isn't up... Payed for by my parents. I have to pay for that if I want to. He has a desktop and a laptop, both "courtesy" of my parents. I had to buy my possess. I have to by my possess school clothes, makeup, hair stuff (straightener, blow dryer, hair products like shampoo/conditioner/hairspray). He does not. I want to be a filmmaker and so does he. My parents fully support him. Do they support me? Of course not. They think I should receive a more practical job. Even if that is true, don't you think they should support BOTH or NIETHER?! I'm 14 by the way. Also, he's never worked a day in his life and he's three years older than me. He's never volunteered for anything, done any extra-curriculur activities... I'm a babysitter and I generally work 3-4 nights a week. I've volunteered at an animal shelter for 7 years. I do basketball, softball, and school plays. And they STILL don't pay attention to me. :(

But I'll be watching movies(of BluRay quality) and videos on the internet, besides running some simulation softwares (I am in the Electrical Department). i am very specific, however that I should not have any problems because of an inferior graphics card for any of the over listed activities.

I live in a very rural area and cannot receive over-the-air TV (per tvfool.com) and I can only afford the cheapest basic cable (landlady won't allow dishes). This basic cable DOES have some free HD stations (primarily local network TV). Since I need a new TV anyway I am considering an HDTV. The thing is it just seems like such a hassle--it's not like the “old” days when you could just go and receive a TV, plug it in and go; now you have to KNOW things and do plenty of research beforehand. I am not a techie but I understand resolution, size, and frame speed, and such, but the more banal questions regarding every day use of an HDTV elude me and I'm hoping y'every can help me out. Question 1: If I switch from an HD channel immediately to an SD channel, do I have to change the resolution manually each time I switch between an HD and an SD channel or do HDTVs adjust resolution automatically? Question 2: What is the resolution of standard DVDs? I hit the local Red Box regularly and much of my TV-watching is rented DVDs. Will they be displayed properly on an HDTV? Will I have to manually change the setup for viewing DVDs and then back to SD/HD each time? Question 2a: Do I need a new DVD player to display DVDs properly? I also possess several old DVDs that I don't plan on replacing with Blu-Ray (yet). These old DVDs work just fine on the old boxy SDTVs with my ancient pre-HDTV DVD player, but do I need a new DVD player capable of displaying them on an HDTV? Ditto VHS. Question 3: If I wanted to stream Netflix to the HDTV, would I need a TV with internet access, or could I just connect my laptop to the TV and stream it from the internet through the pc? Question 4: I've heard that HDCP compliance has caused nightmares for some folks trying to hook their pc up to their HDTV. My laptop is not HDCP compliant (I don't think). Does this mean I cannot view video from my pc (whether Netflix, YouTube, Veoh, other downloads, or even home movies) on the HDTV using an HDMI cable? If, per chance, my pc IS HDCP compliant, could that be a problem viewing video on an HDTV? Question 5: If I CAN watch video from my pc on my HDTV, do I need a TV with 1080 resolution? I'm not a sportsfan or much of a gamer, and don't plan on buying a Blu-Ray setup soon, so I really don't feel compelled to go for 1080 unless viewing from my pc, Netflix, or old DVD player calls for it. My laptop's resolution is 1366x768 so I am concerned that a TV resolution of 720p is not gonna clip it. Might I have to change my laptop's settings to a lower resolution to accommodate the lower resolution of the TV? Question 6: What is the average lifespan of HDTVs? Every review of every make and model I've seen links to several dissatisfied consumers who had their TV fail after only a year or two of use. I realize that's a LOT of technology to fit in a tiny and (in my case) cheap package so I don't expect it to last as long as my old CRTs did (I still have a tiny SHARP TV from 1984 that works—but has no 'modern' hookups). Is it reasonable to expect a short enough life expectancy to warrant an extended warranty? I think that's it. My sister had a new HDTV for every of two days. She found both DVD playback and SD reception to be very blurry. She also couldn't receive her pc to connect to the TV. If those are inherent problems with HD technology, I think I might just try and find an old SD TV and make do. Thanks!

I live on the top floor of a brownstone home converted into apartments so time warner earthlink and verizon can't find my apartment to receive me availability and doing so could take 6 weeks for dsl/broadband/dial up or cable internet. I need it ASAP! I considered mobile broadband conenctors via at and t verizon, sprint or cricket but i hear the usage is limited and the itnernet is my life. I watch tv online play music constantly download movies songs videos often and my computer internet is on 24/7 so I know i would easily surpass 5gb of usage. I live in mexico and have Prodigy Internet, my questions are: Could i use My timecapsule as a modem that receives the signal from a telephone cable(upgraded to (DSL) to a switch into my home network(over 40 internet ports) and continue using it with internet?? And then repeat the signal with airport express OR airport Extreme? And then use it in Mac and PC? And last... could i use an external HD to store movies and reproduce them in my Apple TV? if so, do i need a computer or can i simply plug it in an airport or have it stored into my timecapsule?

I currently have a Compaq Presario V6000, since 2007. It has been OK but for past year or so very unsatisfying as its slowed down a lot and have continual problems with the charger cords which I replace. I mainly use my laptop for internet surfing. Next year I'm going to uni and I need a reliable laptop for that, but needs to be very affordable like below $800. I'd like to receive one of those netbooks but they don't take CDs and it wouldn't be very good watching movies on one. However they are cheap and have a high performance and portable battery life. What do you think? I want a Macbook over every but these are out of my budget. I'm just expecting a Windows laptop to end up like my gift one over time and they suck.

I purchased season 1 of "Inspector Gadget" off of iTunes which included 22 episodes BUT.. they also have 2 more seasons on iTunes. After looking at the internet movie database (IMDB) as well as several other sources I realized that technically every 3 seasons iTunes was selling were really every part of season 1. Hi, I'm looking for help understanding what's wrong with my left ear. I've seen several doctors, but to no avail. The Problem: Whenever I hear noisy sounds, I hear a rattling noise in my left ear. This has been going on for many years (at least 6). Common things that cause the rattling sound might be going to a movie, or being in a noisy crowded place. About a year ago I got sick and got an ear infection. While I had the ear infection I went almost completely deaf in that ear, and just the sound of someone next to me talking to me was enough to cause the rattling sound. I was just recently sick again, and while I was blowing my nose, I blew with a lot of force and it had a similar effect to the Valsalva maneuver, which put a lot of pressure in my ear. After this, my hearing in that ear was every messed up for over a day. I couldn't hear very well and once again, just the sound of someone next to me talking was enough to cause the rattling sound. It might also be worth mentioning that if someone is talking reasonably loudly next to me while I'm yawning, it also crackles/rattles. I've seen several doctors about this. I recently went to an ear nose and throat doctor who looked in my ear and told me everything seemed fine. He then ordered a CT scan after which they told me everything looks fine. He also had me look an audiologist for an ear test and they told me I have excellent hearing. I'm sleepy of being told there's nothing wrong with my ear. It interferes too much with my everyday life and I want to, at the very least, understand what's wrong. I've found a couple other comments from people with, what sounds to be the same problem, while I've been searching on the internet. I currently have a iphone 3g. I am looking at the Samsung Jack. I am using AT&T pick your plan account that costs about $55 a month with unlimited data and 200 mins. The phone sucks down a lot data so that is why I am on the unlimited data. I am a teenager and I have to pay for my phone bill every month so I sacrifice a lot things like going to movies and spending money so I have the money to pay for my phone bill. And then also I am getting nice of bored with my iphone I am only using like 5 apps on it and checking my email. The only think I like about it is that I can say I have a iphone like getting attention from having a iphone and the ipod part. I am looking into other phones like the samsung jack because I could put a go phone sim in it and receive the $20 100mb internet and 200 texts for $5. So I could almost clip my bill in half. Or a tmobile plan that cost $30 a month for Unlimited data and texting. And I found a used samsung jack that I could afford. And then use my iphone as a ipod. But what do you think? I also like the style of the phone its like a blackberry without the blackberry part. Becuase I cant find a decent blackberry with cheap prepaid data. i have a 150mbps connection,that should be quick? but i can't even watch youtube in a streaming way i got to let it buffer for 3-4 minutes my laptop is also a quality laptop 8 gigs of ram decent processor decent wireless 802.11n and also to download a movie or something else it takes up to 6 hours or longer i tested it at speed test and i only got a download speed of 0.68 mbps and i also scored alot below my isp provider average maybe it has something to do with the fact that i live at the end of my street

I know next to nothing about both these genres, but that is exactly why I pose this question. I guess we every have this romantic notion of the cowboy riding off into the sunset, or the great samurai defending his honor. Or maybe this lady who chose to become a warrior, much to society's dismay. I want to look movies like that. I was born too tardy to witness the epics myself, so I turn to the internet to educate me, to tell me what and whom to look for. I know that there are countless titles, so unless you want to recommend a specific movie, i'd appreciate actors and actresses so i can look up their filmography. Thank you very much.

good day i reciently purchased a vsat for some friends and i so we could use the internet/voip. we have a 10:1 ratio with a 2mb down and 512kb up we pay 1500 a month it works very well considering we every work different hours. i set up the everything myself with minimal experience it was too easy. i have two linksys routers one i flashed with tomato which is what im using for my ACL the other still has the regular firmware. i have an extra laptop and 500 gb external hd and would like to make a shared steer for our network so my frineds and i can share music and movies on out network/ can someone give me insructons on how to set it up? i will pay 50 dollars via paypal to the guy who gives me the best advice that works with no issues let me know what you need on my end and i will give it to you. her is my specs im using an idirect evolution x3 1.2meter antenna vsat here in afghanistan i have a macbook pro december2009 and a dell with xp sp 3 let me know

The camera only lets me open it's files in some sort of stupid Arcsoft Media Impressions program that let's me convert the files to Quicktime and upload directly to Facebook, Youtube, and other internet sites. I'd really like to be able to edit my movies in Windows Movie Maker. Is there anything I can download or some sort of trick to convert the file to what I want. I really hate Kodak, they probably have a program for like $50 that let's you convert them. I really don't feel like spending extra money to do something I expected to be able to do in the first place. I might just return my camera and buy another one from a different company that let's you keep your files to whatever you want.

There's got to be a point in time when everything is as advanced as possible. I really wish it'd be sooner rather than later so I didn't have to keep upgrading my stuff every year. Windows 95, 98, ME, XP, Vista, 7... video, DVD, blu-ray... etc etc While I do like the improvements, everything seemed great at the time and so I didn't even think about improvements. Like blu-ray seems excellent now.. does it really need to be improved yet again? I still have a mobile phone from around 5 years ago because I refuse to upgrade. It can still call/text people, so I'm not gonna upgrade just to receive with the times. Do we really need every these things likes games, the internet, movies and whatever else is on phones these days? In a decade or two we're going to be so dependant on technology that if everything electrical were to suddenly die, the majority of people probably would too. How far is it actually possible to go? Time travel (which if discovered, we'd already know from someone traveling back in time.. and eventually it'll receive into the wrong hands and the world would be destroyed). Virtual life (plugging your brain into a computer and living in a realistic virtual world), teleportation (everyone would end up becomming obese). Flying cars?

I have Kaspersky internet security 2010 anti-virus. Today I went on online-movies-stream.blogspot.com and a popup appeared, so I closed it straight away, then a red box came up and said Detected: Trojan, then a few moments later it said Trojan denied, but when I looked on the report, it said I had 3 trojans detected. The light is green and it says your computer is protected, and I am scanning it and so far no threats have been found in the scan, but I haven't finished the scan yet. Did it block it correctly?

Ok soI went for an "audition". I did pretty good. The guy told us to look for John Robert Powers on the internet for us to know who he was. So ym parents and I looked for him and we found out everything was a scam and honestly I do believe it every made sense. I mean they want us to pay 2 grand for the acting classes, it makes no sesne... if we were going to be in a commercial or a Tv Show then they would receive a precentage of it and thats techinically how the workshops would be paid for. Is it a complete scam to receive innocent people to pay them.?? They wouldn't know what a computer is, they couldn't talk about the latest Bruce Willis movie, they wouldn't be interested in any scientific advancement that took place. You'd have to explain to them things like difficult drives and the internet. I would totally feel smarter than every of the ancient famous people that were in heaven.

Its weird but this guy started talking to me on the internet because he saw me at work or something and so we talked on myspace and msn and i can't text anymore so none of that. but that was for like a week straight and he wanted to hang out this weekend. but idk if its true because he says between school and work he doesn't have time. should i even bother if he already doesn't have time to even message me back or something. I have a job and i have school as well. i have school longer than him and work and i manage to receive on to wait for him and its just so aggravating. When we do talk he talks normal and he calls me sweetie and things like that and before he said he wanted to take me out on a date. and its like wtf . so i asked him if we were still hanging out because i need to know because someone else asked me to the movies this weekend and hes asking about mmmyyy schedule and i said it was every clear but i know itll take him like 2 days to respond so there goes the weekend. should i just cease talking to him?

We like to download movies onto our desktop computer but then must watch them on the tiny monitor screen. We have a 50 inch plasma with TIVO in the next room and wireless internet. Is there an easy way to transfer the downloaded movies from computer to the TIVO so we can watch them on the plasma?

I was thinking about getting the iPad for christmas but am unsure whether to receive it or to receive a tablet pc. Iv already got a laptop which is ok and i use for download ing movies and other things then burning them to dvd but the iPad would be used more for casual things like if im in the home the speed of it and the ability to connect to the internet means i could use it feely with every the other options. Then a tablet pc came to mind cause that is basicaly what it is. what i want to know is should i receive the iPad or tablet pc. I dont know much about tablet pcs but id be looking for a slim one with a decent speed and is the same general price range as the iPad so please provide makes / model. If it was benifical to receive the tablet pc then i may consider selling the laptop eventualy and an external difficult steer to keep every my movies and other stuff to and burn it to disk with my home computer iv used iTouch's often and the apps are fun but with there primary unction being music and me not being a big music fan im realy looking for something abit differnt. i hear to music but i couldnt fill 1g withought realy struggling. There are some mysterious things going on in my home, but mostly my room. eep im icy again... but the weird things are like a few days ago i was watching TV and then this horro movie randomly came on. and then just a few mins ago i was talking to my pal on the internet and i didnt touch anything and this like lyrcs for th mean kitty tune came on the screen and i didnt touch mm computer at every. and then in 2009 on mynew camera (now old) there was a weird picture on it it was like a face. and every nw and again i feel like theres something watching me, like a ghost or something. and sometimes there like pressure on like my spin or back of my neck like right now theres pressure. so im REALLY freaked. Ive talked to two of my friends about it and they both hink my home is haunted by ghosts ( i agree with them ) what do u guys think, and what can i do?
